Bel-Air International offers concentrated, accelerated instruction in a complete professional program that may be completed in as little as six months. The program provides one on one training between the student and the instructor, with plenty of hands on experience. Our full time staff of dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Flight Instructors will take you from the basics of flight training through the advanced, professional operation of multi-engine aircraft. They will assist you in developing a comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, the national airspace system, navigation, aircraft systems and flight standards. You will learn quickly in our fast paced FAA approved program.

In California, the San Francisco Bay Area provides perfect flying conditions year round. The San Carlos airport is located beneath the San Francisco International airport airspace. This combination gives you the experience in controlled airspace without delays often found when departing larger airports. The numerous airports located within the practice area provide you with the opportunity to fly many different instrument approach procedures at several different airports during the same lesson. The morning advection fog allows you to fly in actual instrument meteorological conditions without the hazards associated with low freezing levels and thunderstorms.

What is a Part 141 FAA approved school?
Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations explains in great detail how the courses should be structured, how training is to be conducted and the requirements for the flight instructors. In order to administer an FAA approved course, the school has to have a standard training syllabus and adhere to a structured curriculum. The student would also need to pass a series of stage checks, administered by the Chief Flight Instructor, to make sure that the quality of the training is maintained. In order for a school to become approved, the FAA has to examine all of the training courses for which approval is sought, inspect the facility, the airplanes and administer a test to the Chief Flight Instructor. The FAA will also perform routine inspections to ensure complete compliance with Part 141 is met.
